Get a No-Cost Education with Unemployment Benefits

MedCerts has partnered with American Job Centers as an approved training vendor in 26 states. Use your Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) Grant to take our short-term training programs for national certifications in the healthcare and IT industry.

Get Your Education Paid For

Eligible job seekers can have up to $4,000 in financial assistance to pursue certification training programs like those offered by MedCerts. We provide students with personalized, short-term training to start a new career in healthcare or IT so you can compete in the job market. Start an application or talk to an Education Consultant to see if you qualify for aid.

Requirements and Eligibility

The best way to check eligibility is through your case manager or a MedCerts Education Consultant. Most unemployed individuals are eligible.

  • Age 14 and older
  • In some cases, low income
  • You are a dislocated worker
  • In some cases, you will need to be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. and registered with selective service (for males only)
  • Has been terminated or laid off, or who has received a notice of termination or layoff, and
  • Is eligible for or has exhausted entitlement to unemployment compensation; or
  • Is employed at a facility at which the employer has made a general announcement that such facility will close within 180 days; or
  • Self-employed individuals, farmers, ranchers, and fishermen who are unemployed due to economic conditions or a natural disaster
